Written by: Ryan Watson

According to a recent Primerates.com survey conducted on December 26, 2011 of Atlanta certificate of deposit rates offered by the area banks & credit unions  largest financial institutions offered short-term savers 6 month CD’s with rates between 0.05% at Wells Fargo (www.WellsFargo.com) and 0.30% at United Bank (www.accessunited.com).   United Bank also has the highest rates for all other CD terms, with .70% for a 1 year term up to 1.45% for a 5 year CD.
